RA flare up
o yes , im in the situation that she wants me to go on biologics but cannot put me on them until i can visit hospital i am averaging a minimum of one a weeks at the moment so are minor ir just one joint , others are all joints . mu best advice would be take each day as it comes .
Yep. Nothing big but I’m limping on and off mainly my feet and ankles
Yes, now in my sixth week. 11 joints in hands very tender and walking feels like I'm treading on pokers. Fatique off the scale. Head embedded in tissue box. Waiting for call from the Consultant. Would, I think not be in this place had it not been for Covid 19 as the Consultant was going to have me in for a meds review. How it's wait and see.
How bad is the flare? Are you able to take anything to support it? Might be worth phoning the RA nurse if it continues. I have and they have been great. Take extra care.
My heart really goes out to you. I have been in a flare up for a few months which just got worse with each day.
Are you in touch with your rheumatology team? I have contacted my GP and rheumatology team as I was struggling so much both physically and emotionally with my flare up.
My team have been so supportive, meds increased and now a course of steroids too and a telephone consultation booked with my rheumatologist for June to review my meds again.
I really hope you can get some support from your team too. RD, flare ups are so horrid and debilitating.
Gentle hugs x
Yes. Even though I am dancing for exercise (at least before my back went) it isn't the same as being able to go out and walk. I suppose it is inevitable for those of us fortunate enough to go out. x
