Praise after an RA flare.

I phoned the support line at the hospital and earlier today I had a phone call to go to the dept as a steroid jab (intramuscular) with name on it had been arranged. So I did and had it done immediately with no waiting. Wonderful service

Wow! That’s impressive - and of course, in an ideal world, how it should be….Glad you got sorted out so quickly and hope your team wherever they are are not inundated by all of us trying to find them! 😄

Must admit I only know about steroids by injection to perk up up. I'm banned from taking them in tablet firm as I became a little manic 😄

That’s great and I you get some relief very soon. The patient helpline at my hospital is brilliant too - very quick to respond and so helpful. It would be good if everyone had access to such excellent support but, sadly, I think it’s not the same in other areas.

Good to hear. I have had the same experience this week. I called on Monday to tell of my flare which was affecting so many joints. They said they would call back in the morning with an appointment. They did, for 5 that afternoon, tagged onto the end of the days clinic. Feeling so much better already. Also said they are getting me a face to face with consultant in 6-8 weeks 🤞🤞🤞

Thought mine was good until I rang the other week on a Monday, they rang me back on the Friday but I'd contacted the gp in the meantime & spoke to the consultant, I rang again a week last Tuesday & they phoned me Thursday, said she'd email / contact the consultant & ring me back, still waiting 🙄

My consultant was on holiday but the nurse sent an email out to all and one picked it up and approved the Depo. Lucky. Hope you hear soon.
