Feeling awful update

Well my Rheumatologist called and let me know that he wanted me to go ahead increase my imuran to 100mg a day. Also he wants me to get a PFT as soon as they open up elective testing for the shortness of breath. Since I’m not sick and have no fever it’s not emergent. I am going also for a chest X-ray I can have that done. Also a pile of bloodwork. So I guess we will see from here. I’m on 7.5 of prednisone a day have been on prednisone for many many years. Plus Orencia injections weekly along with the imuran. Gabapentin for neuropathy. Still waiting for insurance approval for acthar gel injections. Never been on that before it’s supposed to help with pain and inflammation. And hopefully help get me off of steroids as I am now diabetic because of the steroids. Runs in my family anyway but doctor says steroids are causing problems with it now. Sorry for long post. Hugs to you all. Stay safe.

I was on steroids for years and the weight i put on was awful. I ended up having weight loss surgery and i started to lose weight and i was starting to feel more mobile then i was put on them for another 11mnths and i stopped taking then well weaned myself off them. Now it is on my medical notes at the hospital and drs not to give them to me as they won't do me any favours in the future.

As to your other problems i am afraid i don't have a answer for you.xxx

Thanks Pippy25. I’m feeling the best I have felt in 4 months today. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that upping the medicine is going to help me. I hope you are doing well.
