Knew I was vulnerable due to an email from my nurse 2weeks ago.
Had my usual letter summary from consultants consultation in February. A separate generic letter ( not personalised)in the envelope.
Letter broke down all medication with scores beside each one and said if you score nought or one stop reading . Score 2 or 3 continue to read until the end( shielding/ self isolate and what to do) sub note on the letter this is sufficient to show employers. Not the same as others on here🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ it doesn’t even tell your employer what your score is
Yeah I didn’t get a letter at all from the government or anyone else so I managed to speak to immunology department who were excellent and sent me out a letter saying I was in the most vulnerable group and needed to shield. I already knew this but it was great to get it in writing. As a result my husband has been allowed to shield with me for the 12 week duration although if there is an urgent matter at his workplace only he can deal with he does go into work so far he’s only had to go in once. At least it’s better than the 6 days a week he has been doing for about 3 years. I am very grateful for this even if it means the whole house is cleaned including his clothes as soon as he comes in. As far as your letter is concerned if I was you I’d photograph the meds you’re on and then your bosses can see the risk that you are under.
Good question... I told my employers from day 1 and by the second week got a sick note but it only started from the day of request for 12 weeks. I’m hoping as self isolating was suggested from the beginning they will still pay me from the first day 🤷♀️who knows still being sorted out.
I was furloughed as of 1st april. So I was gull time from week 1 then furloughed for the 2nd week. Time will tell. It's all so confusing. Having my pt1 rituximab this thurs - quite nervous.
