Anyone had the letter?

Has anyone had a text or letter and what did it say? Like other folks here I’m reading it off from the charts we have seen. High risk according to those charts, as I assumed, and been self-isolating for a week already. I wonder if there’s going to be more to it than that.

Yes, I have just received a text, from NHS Coronavirus Service, advising me I have been identified as someone who is at serious risk of serious illness if I get Coronavirus. I must therefore remain 1 metre away from anyone who lives with me (my wife), and must not go out for at least twelve weeks, with more advice to follow. Seeing it in black and white is really frightening. I didn't think I was that ill, I certainly don't feel it. Oh well, let's just carry on and enjoy whatever else this bloody body of mine wants to throw at me. Stay safe everyone...

Wow. Thanks for sharing that.

Wow. It’s frightening when so stark!

I have to admit about still being very confused as my understanding is if all in the home are self isolating - nobody having social contact out with the home, there was no need to socially distance within?

Definitely frightening. Is this if you are in High Risk as per the Rheumatology table? I think I’m in the Medium Risk so just wondering what that will entail in terms of living with others. But I also don’t understand why people have to remain 1 metre apart if all in house isolating. I’m in N.Ireland so not sure if we will be getting similar letters

I was the same, didn’t think I was in the at risk bracket and told family and friends I wouldn’t be getting a letter how wrong was I. I think I was just trying to convince myself xx

I wonder where the person who composed this letter/text lives? In a mansion?

I don’t think my hall is wide enough to pass leaving a metre space...so do I have to dodge into a room..to let someone pass. “No you go now,I’ll wait in the kitchen while you pass” 🤩

I know they have had to compose it in a hurry but if you live in a small one bed flat ...which many do....how does it work?

I also wonder if that is the case why do we have to stay 2 metres apart when we are outside?

I think we just put our commonsense caps on and get on with it...& hope!

A copy of the letter high risk people will get is on the same page as the rheumatology.org chart if you’re interested.

Don't need a letter to tell me to self isolate as it doesn't take much working out to know that I'm very high risk if not higher! :-O So I've been freakin' in for the past fortnight! :-(

It's a stressful time, but you just have to do your best to keep yourself safe. X
