Benepali not injected properly

Hi all, I have just done my Benepali injection and the second click just didn’t happen. Eventually I stopped injecting and I can see that not the whole dose has gone in. It has a tiny bit left... what do I do?! I have been injecting for over 2 years now and not had any problem like this before?

This happened to me and the dose ran down my leg. Rang nurse she said can’t tell how much has been injected so just do next weeks one as normal.

This has happened a couple of times to me. Not alot you can do really. At least some went in 😕

Useful to hear the advice you have been given / it’s happened to you! Annoying in the current climate but not a lot I can do!

I had similar happen to me and am sure the pen was faulty. Just do what your nurse said.

Yup, if some went in that's good. Shouldn't make a noticeable difference.

But do tell your provider that the pen was faulty - is there a batch number on the box? As these are expensive so no excuse for poor products.

As HH says, tell your provider and give then the batch number.

I had similar problem with amgevita. Pinched, pushed down, pressed the top of the pen and nothing happened. Stupidly, looked down the needle end and got an eyeful of amgevita. No ill effects.

I reported it to Lloyd's HH and they credited me with another pen. They also report back to the manufacturer.

Oh dear. I had a couple of faulty pens like that. Not much you can do. I just too injection as normal following week.

Report to the pharmacy, as sometimes they get a faulty batch and they do like to know. If you got most of it I should be OK, if not ideal.
