Sainsbury have just announced that they are going to have designated slots for the over 70s and vulnerable individuals. Keep at watch out. Hope that's of some reassurance.

Replying to self sorry. So eager to offer some support. Seeminly this comes into effect from 23rd March for online customers.

I wish Waitrose would do the same. Have written to their CEO requesting it.

Not sure it actually means much to be honest? There seems to be an hour or so in the morning and if doing it online, they’re asking people

To respect these slots are for the elderly/ vulnerable. How do you police that??

I was wondering this too. How will they know you’re vulnerable?

Exactly. It seems to be left to people

Common decency

I am going to take my humira patient card and my mtx monitoring book with me, they both explain that the drags lowers the immune system.

Both Sainsbury’s and Tesco know I am registered Blind. Not sure how they know but I must have told them at some point. Not sure if I am classed as vulnerable.

How this will be managed will be interesting. I am really hoping it works for older people and vulnerable people.

I hope it works when ordering for elderly parents, mine can't do anything online as they don't have a pc or smartphone. I've registered their address as well as my own on my accounts for Sainsburys and Asda, hope it works 🙄

IMO it's the younger people who are working, some doing manual labour, who need food to keep the country going and have mortgages to pay. Just saying.

Hi I am not sure you will get much shopping I have just been to Sainsburys in London for the over 70's the shelves were almost empty at 6am when 7am came and everyone else could come in it was ridiculous people running around the store toilet rolls were gone within 5mins so if you order you might not get all the order X
