MTX and lung

Been a day and a half got ot work and had another nose bleed as I walked in. So the team helped organise back up and bless them they all turned up to help and then sent me home but I had to wait 2 hours for feeling I could drive an hour.

So emailed rhuemy with all the issues and also staggered into the local GP and by my face she knew Ineed to see Doc.

Got reduced lung capacity in right lung so off to x ray on Monday been given an inhaler and antibiotics.Got very high blood pressure and need to bed rest 2 days. He is concerned I have picked up a bug or MTX issues.

Rheumy nurse got me into see consultant Thurs and been told no MTX till he sees me as too many issues right now.

Having to cancel going to a work Trade Conference on Mon night as not in fit state to do a 2 nights away and be all YAY let's sell and be wonderful! Need to put me first at the moment.

Thanks all have a good weekend and be careful as another bad weekend of weather I hear!

You poor thing- things can sometimes just hit you like a tin of bricks?! I hope things start to feel better quickly and your consultants able to help you.

Strangely, I too have just been taken off MTX as been told I have ground glass in lungs and she said this was due to the MTX? Cat scan on 5 March so, I’ll know more then.

Thoughts are with you x

Thanks Eiram50 I think all week I was putting it down to being surrounded by people with colds but I knew I was not right today it all came rolling in but good response by my GP and rheumy nurse so I cant complain!

Rest, rest and more rest.

I read alot to take my mind off things. Don't know if you're a reader, Donna Tarts "The secret history" is one of the best books I've read.

They'll get you sorted I'm sure. x

Oh gosh Deeb, it sounds like your going through a rough time at the moment. Sorry to hear this. Yes your right, you do have to put yourself first, so rest and get better. Safe warm and safe inside. It's very windy outside this morning. X

MTX was not my friend. It affected every inch of my body, but lungs the worst. If that is the culprit, I hope it is discovered quickly and changed. Fortunately, there are numerous other options available.

All the best to you, Deeb! It sounds like you have very understanding workmates and that is a blessing!
