Sore feet: Hi looking some advice my feet are really... - NRAS
Sore feet
I’ve had this from February till the middle of September. Nothing worked for me I had steroid injections, physio, insoles, new shoes it eventually burnt itself out. Had some relief with a shiatsu foot massager but it was only short term. Sorry I’m not much help.
I have tried all that too .nothing works the Joy's of RA thankyou amy
Bless you Amy. I am in the same boat as you with my feet at the moment. Even hurts when in bed with the duvet on my feet. I had a steroid injection yesterday and waiting for referral to podiatrist now. x
I’ve not tried it on feet, just hands where it was soothing, but have you thought of a wax bath?
Hi Amy65, when you say it feels like you are walking on glass, have you seen a podiatrist lately. Since RA struck, I have started to get quite a number of corns on the soles of my feet, together with ridges of hard skin, and this can feel as thought you are walking on glass. I have been told it is a known RA thing.
I hope you feel better soon.
Get a referral to the Podiatrist, you may have Morton's Neuroma
Peripheral neuropathy? Painful and burning? I use bio freeze which gives a little help. Doc gave amatriptaline...it helps the pain, but I live in a fog!!
I have pain in my feet only at night and extremely sensitive to touching even the sheets. Rheumy thinks it is Peripheral neuropathy but my orthopedic surgeon thinks it is my low back pushing on the nerves. He is going to give me an epidural on Friday and if that makes it go away even temporarily I’ll have my answer that it is back related. I really hope it is because that would be easier to fix. I have tried nerve pills with no relief
Thankyou everyone for ur advice amy x
I have Stage 4 kidney disease but think your foot problem may be Mortons Nuroma and that doesn't respond to medications. My best advice is ask your GP for a referral to a podiatrist. Its correct as you know no NSAIDS which makes things difficult. But a firm sole and small heel might help.
Podiatry and Orthotics definitely the way to go! I feel much better - got insoles and toe supports made and they've really helped! M x
You might look at Dr Sircus IMVA and see what he says about Magnesium.
