Thought I would post for the first time. I got my letter from pip yesterday and have been awarded enhanced rate for both for ten years. I have rheumatoid arthritis fibromyalgia schizophrenia migraine and sjogrens. Thought this might give other people some hope. I a now going to apply for a blue badge. Hope everyone is pain free today take care everyone. I often read everyone's posts but this is the first time I have written one.

That’s lovely news. I’m anxiously awaiting my PIP assessment result. Had my interview at the start of November but haven’t heard back from them yet.

I had money at the beginning of October it took 8wks to get an answer. It is awful waiting isn't it. I hope you get the results you want honey.

Hi Samantha, well done on your PiP outcome. If it's not too personal can I ask how old you are. I'm 64 and was recently awarded enhanced for both but only for 2 years. Just wondering whether I'll have to go through it all again in 18 months time.

I am 51 honey I had a really nice assessor. I think the amount of time you get it for is to do with wether they think your condition is likely to change. Take care darling hope you get it for longer next time

Great news and definitely apply for blue badge which you should get with no problems. I use my badge all the time and it is a real godsend as it allows you to park closer and for free which removes a whole load of stress. I am 66 and recently was told by DWP that my award has been extended until 2028 and I do not have to attend a review before that date!

That is brilliant honey. I don't drive but it will be very useful when I am taken to the shops and on holiday.

Welcome! So pleased with your result for you. I have my review at the end of 2017 & my award was increased to enhanced for 7 years. I do think things are improving then we hear of a troubled account but on the whole they're better. Get applying for your Blue Badge, they can be so helpful on not so good days. Well done again & hope to see you around more now! 🙂

Thanks honey I'm pleased you got your pip at enhanced level. I've had to get a replacement birth certificate ss proof of who I am. And a I need a passport size photo. But I will apply as soon as I have those things.

Do you not have a passport Samantha? You will still need to have a photo of course (photo booth will do).

No no passport ano driving licence. I've never been abroad and don't think I could cope with it now. So I need my birth certificate you see

That’s great news as others have said having a blue badge is a godsend 😃. I was awarded enhanced rate for both too earlier this year but I really found it very stressful especially the home visit when I don’t think anyone could have more letters from consultants etc and the NHS who told me I was too sick to work and made me leave on ill health lol. But hey ho I survived the process and can relax a little for the next ten years. The thing I don’t understand is if things haven’t changed and you were getting enhanced rate for DLA why do they make you virtually reapply again ??!! It’s nice to hear success stories though.

I know I had dla for life. I found it extremely stressful too and hardly went out. Good to hear that you got it for ten years too honey. Take care

Hi I just wondered how long this took...as I have sent a form in as change of circumstances not for the good though my RA consultant thinks I may have fibromyalgia worse than RA

I had to get my form in by the beginning of September. I had a face to face assessment on the 8th October and found out the results a couple of days ago. I hope this helps honey
