Bit of good news...

Hurrah! 10 months since the OT approved it and I've finally had my stairlift installed! I'm so happy about it! I feel like a Bond villain whirring up and down the stairs :D . The dog's a bit dubious about it though...

Still waiting for the wet room but with any luck that will happen soon.

Anyway, it's nice to have something positive to report for once!

Don't bother trying to contact me for the foreseeable future as I'll be busy going up and down stairs ๐Ÿ˜‚

Wishing you all a good day,

Terry

That's a great anniversary present! Honestly, it's just going to improve my life disproportionately! It's excellent!

Good news... itโ€™s the little things that make the difference ๐Ÿคฃneed one myself this morning... happy travelling ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Thanks! I'm so pleased with it! Just imagine - I'll be able to take things upstairs with me instead of waiting for someone else to do it!

My cat soon got used to riding up and down stairs on my lap on my stairlift. Perhaps your dog will too!

Fantastic! Cat's are often surprisingly blasรฉ about these things! My boy's getting used to it,but he's such a scaredy cat(dog)!

It is great, when it is first fitted, I don't know what I would've done without mine. The best event of all was when the wet room was finally approved and fitted. I hadn't had a bath or shower for about 4 years, by the time it was finally fit for purpose. What bliss. BTW I had been having strip washes (TMI) though.

Hahaha, not at all! Strip washes have been the bane of my life! Standing in a washing up bowl freezing and even then not able to reach anywhere! I've ended up hiring a bathlift until the wet-room gets done. It's not the same as a proper bath but the bliss of it after years of shivering strip washes was great! Can't wait for my wet room to be done!

But so pleased with the stairlift - not having to wonder if I can make it downstairs every morning! Fantastic isn't it?

Congrats on the stairlift! I imagine that this will make a huge difference to you.

I had a wet room installed a couple of years ago and this too, had made a significant difference, particularly with fatigue - I just walk straight in and out again rather than climbing in and out baths to have a shower.

Enjoy!

Thanks very much! It must've been such a relief for you to get the wet room. I'm looking forward to getting mine. Got a bathlift atm but it's a hell of a faff to lug it around or wait for someone to do it - my son and daughter live with me so I can't just leave it there - and you don't really get properly immersed anyway.

Meanwhile yes I'm super-happy about the stairlift! I've had to spend a few days trapped upstairs during bad times and even when I can manage the stairs it's painful and takes me ages so this makes such a difference!
