Biologic question regarding weight

Ok all, I asked the ominous question regarding biologics and weight gain. Is there any biologic that has NOT caused any weight gain?

I haven’t put any weight on, in fact I have managed to lose weight ( planned) I’m on benepali.

I haven’t put on weight with Enbrel.

Of all the biologics I’ve had, the only one that’s caused me to gain weight is Baracitinib 🤗X

I've had humera and now retuximab and have not had weight gain with either.

I am on Imraldi and have lost weight

I’m on Benepali, no weight gain at all, in fact lost some due to being more active as a result of meds 😊

I'm on tocilizumab and had lost so much weight beforehand because I felt so ill I needed to put some on. Two and a half years later I'm back to my normal 10/12 and very active. I wouldn't say the drug caused weight gain, I was conscious of needing to gain weight so tried to eat slightly more once I felt better.

I think you hit the nail on the head Silverpixie.....we suddenly feel so much better when a Biologic starts to work we rediscover our appetite & put on some weight.

Of course it then depends how enthusiastically we embrace the goodies we fancy! If we really hit the carbs but don’t get much exercise we will probably gain weight.....not fair...but that’s life!

I am back to my normal weight on Tocilimuzab after losing on Humira and various DMARDS. I can now eat normally and enjoy food again, what a treat!

If anything I have lost weight on Cimzia. Would like to lose about 10lbs more just carrying s bit of a spare tyre :-)

I was very under weight on various Dmards; the doctors were concerned. Back to normal, for me, on Cimzia.

I take enbrel and I'm now at my lowest weight in 20+ years

I've lost a little weight since starting Enbrel in July. Just two or three pounds, but I'm very short so that's not an insignificant amount for me. I think it's because I'm feeling better and moving more.

I’ve used Enbrel, Humira, and Simponi and have not gained weight on any of them. I am already overweight so I am grateful for that.
