Swollen knee

Just had Tk total knee surgery 7 days ago on left knee. But my right knee is as swollen as the left! Can anyone let me know if they had same thing?

I am waiting for left knee replacement. My right knee is slightly swollen and painful. Not sure if this is because I am avoiding using left leg and therefore right knee has more strain on it ? Time will tell !

Hi Pepy, surely the docs at the hospital can give you an answer. My right knee was slightly bigger than the left for a couple of days, but not painfully so. Press for an answer. Good luck and let us know.

I just recently had two total knee replacements within 7 months apart. It may be from over compensating. I would definitely call your surgeon and let him know your concerns. Prayers it gets straightened out soon and you are back to normal doing the things you enjoy.

Hi Pepy i am 2 weeks after my knee replacement and my other knee is agony but i am also needing it replaced as it was very sore before but good chance that you are putting the strain onto your other knee.Like me you will be off your RA medication so that will be having an impact too.What a difference a day makes until last night i could hardly get myself out of a chair ok when i was up and walking it was fine but so stiff getting up and back down but now i can get up fine so hoping the worst is over.Hope you feel better soon and back on your feet

I had TKR done on both knees at the same time - so both as swollen!

Call and ask your gp for advice or the physio, if she’s still coming around?
