Everything tastes salty suddenly!

Hi everyone! Has anyone ever experienced this? Suddenly I've developed a salty taste in my mouth- for the last couple of weeks now - and everything I eat tastes salty..

I've been on 10mg MTX for over a year now, and never had any taste changes before.

I always drink plenty of water every day and no nasal drip, nor am I on any steroids.... any ideas?

I would speak to your dr or rheumy about that darling. I have never heard of it before,so to be on the safe side.xxx

I have a metalic/ bloody taste in my mouth, on and off, I'm convinced that it is drug related. It started with MTX and I have it again with baricitinib. Food can taste different too.

I have PD and I have salty taste always too. Visited dentist to rule out mouth issues. I think in my case the part of the brain that processes taste may be affected by the PD. Probably wise to have an MRI to rule out tumors. Best wishes and I hope to hear you dx when and if you get one.
