False claims

I know it wouldn't be allowed in this country (thankfully), but there is a company, a MLM company posting in poorer countries about how their multi vitamins and minerals can cure rheumatoid arthritis. It really bugs me that these gullible, poor people believe it, they truly believe it. They claim that they can cure not just RA but cancer etc. Makes my blood boil

Trouble is, I think we are not far away from this happening here. Maybe not on TV or in proper newspapers, but the internet is a free for all. All it needs is an “address” in the UK and people will fall for it. Sad.

Swings both ways (not to inflame this situation) but there are those who preach to not take certain medications or vaccinations and completely ignore science. They spread their hocus pocus and Wakefield can still fill an auditorium when his research was debunked. Over 500 people (mostly children under 2) have died from measles this year, the most in over 3 decades. Misinformation and foolishness! I’ll step off my soapbox now. There is no miracle cure as much as I wish there was for many AI diseases. It really bugs me that when a simple vaccine can prevent severe disability or death and people refuse it at the peril of public health- especially those of us who have AI diseases and are immune compromised.. Stupid Selfish people. Vaccines do not cause autism!!! Rant over.
