Hi everyone

The last three days I have had fluid in my right knee only also I missed my last mtx injection last friday as it slipped out of my hand and went off. So I dont know if this is connected but the knee is well swollen and getting painfull as I have to climb stairs in work and Im walking funny now. My rheumy nurse has an answering machine and probably will not get back to me for 2-3 days thats how the NHS rolls in County Down N.Ireland. I used an ice pack last night but it doesnt help much....any tips please thanks.

Missing one injection shouldn't really make much difference, these are slow acting drugs. For your knee: rest, ice, elevation are best things.and sleep with your calf on a pillow to keep the knee slightly elevated during the night.

And fingers crossed the nurse gets back to you tomorrow.

When that happened to me, it turned out to be OA in the knee instead of my RA this time. Double H is right for the support.
