Does anyone else get woken twice every night by pain in both arms from the shoulders to the fingertips? It's very tiring.
Night time pain. : Does anyone else get woken twice... - NRAS
Night time pain.
Every night without fail 😩
When my disease is not fullt controlled I do wake several times with pain.
Has the kenalog injection not kicked in yet? As that should have helped,
I've had trouble for years. Even worse is when I get up in the morning and have to use my hands and arms. It's not quite as bad as it used to be since I've been on a new more effective med, but is slowly heading back there.
Yes I do, it varies how often.
I often get this too, when it's bad I find it's helpful to prop myself up on high pillows so I'm not laid flat. Being propped up seems to take the pressure off the shoulders somehow, might be worth a try?
Hi
Just like the others, I never get a good night's sleep, waking up every hour, and sever pain when getting up, I have to kind of roll out of bed, all joints aching,

Pink lamb I understand everything that you say except I cannot then go back to sleep
yes, I'm awake most nights for one reason or another. it's shoulders at the moment, but leg and toe cramps last week. it's all an ever-changing story.
Certainly is hard to sleep when in pain an then the stiffness doesn't help. I had horrid shoulder pain a few weeks back, now it's back in my feet an ankles. It seems never ending an is so draining.
Hi Pinkypie2018
I certainly do agree with you, you just seem to get some relief from one part of your body, then another pain sets in, it was same with me, I started on Wednesday this week again with my feet, and swollen ankles, yes it is draining, I am on my feet at work for 8 hour shifts which makes it so difficult, I couldn't hardly walk Wednesday and Thursday at work, fortunately I finished last night for Easter, so hopefully that will help me!!
I hope that you are feeling a bit better now too

I'm the same standing at work all day doing 9 hours shifts an it is so hard on your feet. Thankfully I only do part time at weekends so at least it's not full time. An quite frankly employers just don't seem to care that your in pain an suffering, I just find it so frustrating. I'm sure the rest over easter will help you an the lovely weather should cheer us up also!! I've my foot spa out this evening to help soothe my little feet as they have another long day ahead of them tomorrow.
Hi Pinkypie2018,
Thank you for your message,
Employers don't really give a hoot about us really, they are only doing what "The Law" states, it's not right is it!! Anyway I could go on and on, but it only stresses me out, and upsets me, which doesn't help!!
I am going to get a foot spa ♨, my husband once got me one for my birthday, years and years ago when I was OK, I wasn't very happy about it, but I would love 😍 one right now!!
You take care

Oh yes all the time
My hands and occasionally big toe joints wake me up at least once a night. I can never get back to sleep either, I have to get out of bed, do my hand/foot exercises and if they don't shift the pain then have some painkillers and wait for them to kick in. You have my sympathy.
I would check with a consultant that it is not due to shoulder arthritis where the joint has been severely damaged. I have had 2 shoulder replacement operations and have no pain now, as long as I don't sleep on my side.
Good luck, I hope they find a solution for you.
My doctor said this is PMR it's very painful could also be neck problems
My nighttime pain; shoulders, neck has been minimized considerably since obtaining an adjustable base with gel-infused mattress and tossing my old bed and mattress. This is a very expensive bed however, my daughter bought it for me. I was sleeping, if you could call it sleep, on a chair because the old bed caused so much pain.
I would recommend this as it has made a world of difference. I can adjust the head up and the legs (behind the knees actually) for my best comfort. Still trying to work out the meds for RA.
This is something l also suffer with. Wake several times with pain from shoulders to wrists and pins and needles in hands. I try to save my naproxen for first waking and then tramadol for 2nd waking up.
Yes I do , terrible pain in legs snd shoulders.
No I can't help you out with at one.
I get a twinge in my left thigh around 5am every morning
and have to get up and walk around for
awhile then go back to bed.
