The unhealthy effect of PUFAs (Polyunsaturated fatty acids)has often been brought up on the forum. Thought this article explains well the effect of these oils on our physiology. Hope this can be of help.😊

Here is how a scientist explaines how vegetable oils interfere with normal metabolism and is a culprit in creating an inflammatory enviroment that is seen in RA and other AI conditions.

The link don't work. Am more interested in what people think of the links they put up anyway.

Have you read it this link, what do you think about it?

The links should work. Often complicated things are easier to grasp when someone who knows what they are talking about and has been researching for decades expresses these clearly.Bringing these articles to the forum gives a chance to reflect upon them and bring forth thoughts and opinions.

I will try later by just putting in the name... ray peat.

The forum is very intermittent. Sometimes it comes up , sometimes it goes down.

Ive just read this article and it’s very confusing. In it he says that the oils reduce immunity and that’s a bad thing. As our immune systems have gone into overdrive, isn’t that a good thing?

He also bases everything on US food standards which are considerably lower than the UK and Europe.

Hello Cwendyn,

Sorry it's taken me so long to answer. There really is a misunderstanding concerning the state of the immunesystem in RA. It has not gone into overdrive but rather it's dysfunctional and unbalanced. Here is a link to explain more thoroughly.
