Hi I was finally diagnosed last year with psoriatic arthritis after years of misdiagnoses.

Had to stop methotrexate owing to liver and being unwell.

Got better now had to stop leflunomide as unwell again. Groan

Trying to hold down full time job and struggling.

Any ideas on how to stay well

Any chance you can go part time until your RA is under control? I had to stop work altogether for 3 months. The stress of not performing well and having to go to work in pain might not be the best thing... poor you x

If your work has occupational health support engage with them, also see if there are any adaptions to your work environment that can be made. Managing with PsA can be really difficult and no easy answer sadly. As Jules13 suggests any chance of reduced hours until PsA back under control?

Thank you both, it is difficult as the company only pays ssp when I'm of which then causes bills not to be paid

If you have tried and been unsuccessful on two DMARDS maybe ask Rheumy for biological treatment.

I had Sulphasalazine then Methotrexate both caused kidney or lung problems. Now on Etanercept / Benepali and works a treat

Was looking into those. Are they more tolerable with less issues

I have found my biological much easier to tolerate. Few side effects for me.

Weekly self administered injection.

Storage of meds needs some planning especially if going on holiday but easily managed.

Not what you're looking for?
