Does anyone have both RA and stenosis? Diagnosed with RA 4 years ago. Have been on the 4 usual meds, mtx, plaqunil, prednisone and folic acid. Infusions of Actemera once a month. Because of pain, burning, numbness, tingling in left arm, hand and fingers had mri. Severe stenosis in spine. Surgery recommended for neck but...because of RA and having to be taking off of all RA meds for 4 months I’ll try physical therapy. Recently I am having pain and difficulty in walking in legs and right hip. Pain is moving all around !!!!!
Has anyone gone through anything similar? RA and Stenosis?

Stenosis of what? Stenosis is not a disease it is a description of something . It could relate to one's aorta or something else? You'll have to be more specific I think.
Yes! I had spinal cord compression (C3 subluxed onto C4) with a constitutionally narrow canal (stenosis) in 2002. I was told I could fall and be paralysed from neck down or dead! I had urgent neurosurgery 2 weeks later to decompress and fix my spine at C3-C6 with titanium rods. I was dx as a child in 1971, so had the disease 31 years in 2002.
I Received a letter from my pain management doctor this morning after a lumber MRI on the 27th October. I have a grade 2 anterolisthesis of L 4 on L5 and severe canal stenosis. I have been referred to Complex Spine MDT they had a meeting yesterday, so I await results. To say I am in severe pain is to put it lightly. I've had erosive RD for 33 years mainly controlled by Humira and pred, also mtx and naproxen . I've had lower back pain for 2 1/2 but getting so much worst. So fully sympathise with you. What do you use as a pain killer for this. I have been offered Duluxatine. Can't take opiate meds.
I was offered this but couldn't get on with Amtripilene when I tried it so wasn't happy to try this one. I will have to sort something out, using a tens machine and heat patches at the moment. X
Yeah I had a series of disc prolapses that resulted in severe stenosis and two emergency laminectomies at l4/5 and c2/3.
I am left with mild scoliosis, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis and neuropathy.
For me, following surgery, I was left with severe muscle loss, drop foot (an inability to lift your foot up which is a PITA) and various other symptoms.
I have been seeing a personal trainer for the last 2 years to try to regain muscle / strength and some mobility. It has made a massive difference and I cannot stress enough how much this has helped with pain and mobility.
