hard day

I had to go to buy some jeans, as I have lost so much weight, mine are falling off me

it was so hard, feeling every pain as you try to try on the clothes, and then you look at the mirror of this body that looks like a 100 years old and feel it too :O(

as I give the clothes back because you can't get the right fit, as you can't have them too tight, and the only choice is too baggy clothes that make you look stupid.

and as you give the clothes back you let out a yelp because your arm has got stuck in a lock

so had a day of feeling sorry for myself

but it ending not to bad as got a beautiful coat and two jumpers instead :O)

Have you tried online shopping? I live in the country side and looking around after clothes in shops is hard and even harder with RA. I lost a lot of weight after being diagnosed and never really put it back on so had to buy a whole new set of clothes. I selected on line then brought to my home. If didnt fit just put it in my post box the next day the post man or delivery service takes it back, no additional cost often for delivery or return.I think this is the future way of shopping anyways! You need not feel sad and shopping can be fun actually. Take care.xSimba

VeronicaF, it's absolutely fine to feel sorry for yourself sometimes. Its called being a human being and shows an understanding of your situation....intelligence. Tomorrow is another day and you might enjoy wearing some of your new purchaes ?

Thank you Mmrr

Years ago I had a bad accident and was badly injured. When recovered i went shopping on my own to buy a dress to cheer myself up. Having got one on, i just couldn't manoeuvre it off. i spent ages squirming around and then had to ask an assistant to help me get the wretched thing off. I felt embarrassed but in retrospect what are the assistants for? Just to count number of garments? I agree that ordering online is the way forward so you can get someone to help you and do it in your own time. Well done you for making some purchases! Enjoy wearing them!

I am the opposite have put on weight so struggling to fit into my clothes! Online is a problem as the post here is very expensive and unreliable. I sympathise over trying on clothes it just is do tiring I tend to give up after short while so back to square one!

And me wish I was the lucky one and lost loads of weight medication I put around 2 stone on. To my thinking they should of known that and maybe prevented it now still carrying extra weight 😣

I put on 3 stone between becoming unwell and being diagnosed (6 months). and now another stone with steroids. I don't recognise myself sometimes.

Have you thought about Amazon Wardrobe. You dont even have to pay up front for the clothes and returns are free.
