Rib pain

Recently been diagnosed with psa and waiting to start on some medication. I’ve recently started with intermittent sharp/stabbing pain under my right rib cage. Just wondering if this can be or is anyway linked.

Hi, I have had severe rib and back pain for 12 months. Thought I had pulled a muscle coughing at first but it has steadily got worse where I can’t stand or walk for long.

Got checked for several things ie gall stones, cracked ribs.Had X-ray, scans and MRI which my Rheumatology consultant organised

Just seen a Gastro consultant and he has diagnosed Painful rib syndrome which is ruptured cartilage around the ribs.

Have to next see my GP and Rheumatologist for next steps to take.

Consider costochondritis. Inflammation of the ribs. It can be incredibly painful and linger for some time.
