Flu All the time

Hi can anyone help?? I’m on methroxate and have been since 2014 along with numerous other medications, tried Simponi which has just been changed to Benpali weekly injections and I seem to have constant flu symptoms, my dr gave me antibiotics which helped but two weeks later I’m back to the same feeling, I just don’t know what to do ???

I am on Methotrexate and Humira. I was on Benepali but it didn't work. I feel very similar to you, sometimes like flu is coming, sometimes I have a sore throat. It just seems to be what must be the effects of the medication for me. My blood results are normally good, things just come and go. The only time I felt much better was I recently had bronchitis and took antibiotics. All my other aches and pains went away while I was on them.

I had flu symptoms for 3 weeks except didn’t have much of a temperature. Went to see my Gp but was told it was just a virus. Anyway 2 weeks later I could hardly breathe so went to an out of hours GP I was diagnosed with Very severe hay fever which most people would think wasn’t a problem but I couldn’t breathe and couldn’t get out of bed. 1 week of antihistamines and I was cured. It’s silly but hay fever or allergy can be very serious it had almost completely closed my airway. So I’m not saying this is your problem but try taking an antihistamine for a week and see if your symptoms go away. It won’t hurt to try.
