Hi I had my 1st appointment in August with the rheumatologist
He sent me for some blood tests & a X-ray on my left shoulder
I had a scan done by my GP which showed hole in bone so she did refer me but as yet I still haven’t heard anything from the rheumatologist I am in so much pain which keeps me a wake at night I have tried Tramadol But it doesn’t help the pain has anybody else had to wait this long for there 2nd appointment I did call them today and they are waiting to see someone else regarding the X-ray but not sure who.

I was in Dunelm Mill today and they do a hot water bottle shaped like a sort of horse shoe with a fleece cover, I wonder if this would help with the pain for you till you are seen. All the best hope it's soon, as no fun waiting. X
Hello, sadly the wheels of the NHS work fairly slowly. I would agree with the other post in that contact your doctor for pain relief. I would call the secretary of the doctor you are waiting to see. I know it is no consolation but they are overrun at the moment, I don’t think they have the number of staff needed for the amount of patients. I have found you have to be patient, persistent and above all polite. I hope you get some relief very soon.
Hi I hope they sort you out quickly but in the meantime I have an electric blanket type of cape that plugs in and gives my shoulders/neck and back relief when it’s on them. Got it from Lidl but they do them on Amazon for around £30. I fall asleep with mine in most nights. Sarah xx
