Enbrel and cat scratching

Hello I have jra since 7 yers old. Yesterday a cat scratched me and I have tetanus shot and rabies vaccine. I was shot on may and Yesterday I washed there with soap and I used cologne. Now I am good but On monday I will get enbrell should I hold off this week? And also Tuesday I will get shot methotrexate what should I do? And today I was shot ppd test for control tuberculosis. Last time I held off this time again? :((

Where o you live. There is zero risk of rabies in the UK unless you have access to an imported animal! Even then, a scratch is not a danger. The rabies virus is transmitted in saliva so hence bites from carriers are the hazard not scratches. Also tetanus? The risk is from deep wound, in particular if s contaminated by soil and not from a scratch. Tetanus requires a deep puncture wound, not a superficial scratch. I doubt that you have much to worry about.

I live in Turkey but in turkey also ricks of rabbies zero but my only problem is enbrell and Methotrexate last time scratch isn’t bad but now it’s a little bit bad long scratches and blood. I am fine now and I trust the vaccines but it’s an infection now? When I get ill like flu I hold Enbrel that week. Probably I will hold off again?

It sounds silly, but I’m not understanding about the vaccines. Did you get one or did the cat get one and if you did when was it? Don’t use Enbrel if you had a recent vaccine. I wouldn’t worry about Enbrel with just the scratch unless it is very deep and won’t heal. My dr told me no vaccines while using Enbrel and to also stop if I have fever, infection of any kind, or an upcoming procedure. I hope all works out for you.

Also probably should check with your doctor and read the insert that comes with the Enbrel. I’m not sure how long you have to be off if you had a vaccine.

All those injections just for a cat scratch? How deep was it that u needed all that. I've been scratched quite deeply many times and apart fm cleaning it never knew or even thought about all those vaccines.
