Winter
Oooh ! I love crumpets....will get some tomorrow.I think you are right...Autumn is upon us!
Love a buttered crumpet !
I need to try crumpets as they look yummy
You just need to ensure they are well toasted. That way the butter and jam, or spread of choice, melt into a gooey delight. Enjoy!
And salted butter yes?
May sweet chutney
Of course. I can't stand margarine but it's pretty much down to what you like best. My view is that, if you're going to eat something so calorific, you may as well go the whole hog
I am going to order food on line today and will try them with local butter. Oh my swollen hands today.
Maybe it is as I washed up so much yesterday. I knew that I should have let child π§ labour do it as they love to wash up. Maybe they can make crumpets too
They're very easy to make but home made don't last as long as shop bought
Potato cakes are nice as well just pop them in toaster , easy to make zena could have a go keep her busy
Have you not got a dishwasher in that lovely cottage ?!?? Better find yourself a good all round helper to do your washing cleaning cooking etc they are usually quite good people who live in rural villages helping each other think another woman might upset zena she is having me time with dad π€
My dishwasher is just seven and only works part time, I think it is fairy cake day but we have to bury a bubble bee π first in a matchbox lined with cotton wool and say a prayer π
Honestly I meant bumblebee
I've started something now what abt potato cakes dripping in butter lovely π€£
Nom nom. Well toasted, dripping with butter & a little peanut butter. A rare treat.
To be honest, I can't stand crumpets anymore. It's the thought of all that fat. My tastes have cetainly changed a lot recently
I remember as a child beef dripping on toast hmmmmm
Oh yuk. They call dripping "mucky fat" round here. The very thought is making my stomach churn. Sorry
It had a salted jelly and beef taste
Yup. That's it
Yep that's it on bread toasted , and fried bread after you've cooked bacon yummy
I always use lurpak it's the best
Nooo, Kerrygold. Irish butter is the best!
I only use Devon local produce but will try the others on my next on line shop
I can imagine it's really lovely but lurpak does it for me and when my hands are sore it's so easy to spread straight from fridge I could not spread butter now with RA , just fancy a fairy bun now π
Oh yum! Loved toast and bread with beef dripping when I was little.
What abt eggy bread or is that posh for French toast ??????? With sugar I'm goin to make pancakes later better get some lemon or maple syrup π
Just off to add these to the shopping list! Thick butter and raspberry jam are the essential accompaniments.
We made our fairy cakes and chocolate rice crispies too
As for the bee he is buried In a matchbox at the church yard
oh I wish I could eat all that but I have notied unless I stick to plain foods I get more pain
no butter, no crumpets no jam boo hoo hoo :O((((((
oh how I miss my old life before RA
