I need to try crumpets as they look yummy

You just need to ensure they are well toasted. That way the butter and jam, or spread of choice, melt into a gooey delight. Enjoy!

And salted butter yes?

May sweet chutney

Of course. I can't stand margarine but it's pretty much down to what you like best. My view is that, if you're going to eat something so calorific, you may as well go the whole hog

I am going to order food on line today and will try them with local butter. Oh my swollen hands today.

Maybe it is as I washed up so much yesterday. I knew that I should have let child πŸ§’ labour do it as they love to wash up. Maybe they can make crumpets too

They're very easy to make but home made don't last as long as shop bought

Have you not got a dishwasher in that lovely cottage ?!?? Better find yourself a good all round helper to do your washing cleaning cooking etc they are usually quite good people who live in rural villages helping each other think another woman might upset zena she is having me time with dad πŸ€—

My dishwasher is just seven and only works part time, I think it is fairy cake day but we have to bury a bubble bee 🐝 first in a matchbox lined with cotton wool and say a prayer πŸ™

Honestly I meant bumblebee

To be honest, I can't stand crumpets anymore. It's the thought of all that fat. My tastes have cetainly changed a lot recently

I remember as a child beef dripping on toast hmmmmm

Gnarli profile image
Gnarliβ€’ in reply to

Oh yuk. They call dripping "mucky fat" round here. The very thought is making my stomach churn. Sorry

I can imagine it's really lovely but lurpak does it for me and when my hands are sore it's so easy to spread straight from fridge I could not spread butter now with RA , just fancy a fairy bun now πŸ˜‹
