Hi i was diagnosed with APS a couple of months ago after having a heart attack and a month later a TIA. I have suffered with bowel trouble for years and then the drugs i had been put on for the heart had irritated the bowel, im now only on a beta blocker and aspirin. Six weeks ago i started on warfarin and my diverticulitis has got out of control is there anyone else out there that is having bowel trouble after taking warfarin???Diane.
Warfarin and bowel trouble: Hi i was diagnosed with APS... - NRAS
Warfarin and bowel trouble
Does APS mean antiphospholipid syndrome? I know it's a bit more common with people who have other auto-immune disease like RA, but not sure how many people on here have it.
But as someone with diverticulitis I have sympathy as it's so all-consuming when it gets out of control. I hope you find a solution soon.
I've had clots (DVT's and PE's) and do ask about Riveroxaban or Apixaban. I've been on Riveoxaban for 4 years no issues at all and you eat what you like. Its lifelong to prevent TIA's and stroke through clots. I'd have died had not had a GP who realised not flu but pe's. Obviously we're not doctors so I can only suggest you talk to your GP about the effects of Warferin as its drug that prevents serious health risks that can happen quickly. I thought most people are being taken onto Riveroxaban who take Warferin as its so much easier to take.
