Hi all, just read a report which shocked me and disgusted me .There's May uses loopholes to bypass legal decisions on using government money for certain things .This means instead of having a house of commons debate and decision made by all M PS she is bypassing this and only a handful of them and her of course are meeting to do this. The latest being cutting benefits from the vulnerable which as you know is true ,and awarding the royal family £360,000,000 for refurbishments to Buckingham Palace😱😱😱😱😱,so if you've be denied PIP or had benefit cuts and the like ,this explains it .I honestly couldn't believe what I was reading .This government needs outed .The sooner the better😏😏😏
Loopholes: Hi all, just read a report which shocked me... - NRAS
Loopholes
I do not believe this post has a place on this Forum
Well if the decisions that are made affect people like us then I think there is ,if your in favour of it then maybe you shouldn't be on this forum
Agree....will only lead to tears before bedtime!
This reply is to Pat9442....but no matter how I try to send it to her it ends up to MagyMay!!!
I think it's fine to make people aware of the report itself as that's factual info and good to circulate so people know what's going on.
But people on here will have different political opinions, and views on the monarchy as well as other subjects like religion. So always best to tread a delicate line about personal opinions, as otherwise gets even more heated than posts about diets.
Have you got a link magymay, I’d like to read it 😀
Disgusting the royal family are a waiste of space .
If government decisions affect us as disabled people, then I think this is precisely the place to discuss them. Everyone is entitled to express their opinion. Personally I think it is hard to justify the attack on the disabled that is happening at the moment by this government
And to think Theresa May is the patron of NRAS!!! An absolute disgrace.
If any government is not acting for the well being of the people let the ballot box do it’s work. It is obvious that the most vulnerable have been hit the hardest and that the NHS cuts have had a devastating effect .
People with disabilities and chronic health conditions are not responsible for the present and continuing financial crisis.
It is right to speak out for the disadvantaged in society and not let politics get in the way of freedom of speech!
I find this site to be very supportive - please don't let it turn into a Facebook pub argument site and I do feel that this type of infammatory and somewhat divisive post does just that.
No politics on here please.
My understanding is that having had Teresa May as patron of NRAS has brought the charity gravitas, useful insights and introductions. You need this type of connection in today’s world where charities work tirelessly to survive.
NRAS manage to remain politically neutral which should be applauded. So the use of the term ‘disgrace’ in this context is both inaccurate and unfair.
So sorry but I see enough on political slanging match on FB, don’t want to have to stop reading on here because of political slanging. Which ever party you support, I have never claimed anything, don’t even have a blue badge because on good days I can walk fine, past the age of PPI so never had it. But I do like to read how differant drugs effect people’s well-being. Also in full support of people who need benefits, but just don’t want slanging matches about politics.
