Hi everyone, was looking for information on Leflunomide and hair loss and came across this site.

It is a happy accident and I am thankful for eveyone here sharing and allowing me to share as I have been struggling with Chronic Sarcoidosis for years, which has now led to Rheumatoid Arthritis and Raynaud Syndrome.

Have a beautiful day.

MTX really badly affected my hair an expentional reaction said the RA consultant. Very unusual asit came out in clumps so swapped to LEF and no hair loss at all. Haire regrew and all is normal. LEF really works well for me.

Hi Paisley and welcome,

I'm so sorry if you are suffering hair loss, unfortunately it can be the name of the game with immunosuppressants.

I wouldn't give up my Benepali but my hair has never been the same. Ive still got it but it's fluffy instead of sleek and noticeably more wispy.

My GP told me about a hair product she had used personally as she suffered from hair loss due to stress and an auto immune disease. It was a serum that you rubbed into the scalp, she swore by it as it had helped her.

I haven't got around to ordering any yet , once I do and try it myself I will report back.

Hope the Leflunomide is helping your RA?

Yes please, as it could be the other meds or the disease itself causing the hair loss.

Currently got fingers and toes crossed that Leflunomide works😀

Hello Paisley and welcome to the club. You'll find lots of good advice and understanding people on here. If you are new to RA you will also find a lot of very good and useful information on the NRAS website (far better than Dr. Google). They also have a fantastic help desk if you can't find what you are looking for. All the very best and keep in touch.

Thank you so much. Yes looking around the site, have learnt lots and even felt more courageous about speaking to various health care practitioner because I often feel like a number than a person.

For the first time in a very long time this community has made me feel hope and I am grateful. Thanks 🤗
