Antibiotics and yeast infection

Any advice ... after a chest infection resulting in stopping Humira and upping steroids. Now a yeast infection. Can an over the counter cream be used?

Yes but if you can have a chat with the pharmacist as there is cream or a tablet to see what is best . I have problems with oral thrush at times after antibiotics and it is horrible . Feel better soon 💐

I usually get canesten combi cream and pessary from the pharmacy. That usually sorts me out. 😁

Yes, over the counter stuff will set things right. I always take a probiotic whenever on an antibiotic to counter the effects

Don't forget, if you are entitled to free prescriptions, you may well be able to get some free clotrimazole without having to see the GP in person, as part of the Minor Ailments service.

I'll try replying privately. I don't know what is wrong with this site but posts regularly disappear. I am aware that thrush might be off topic but I expected to be notified as I went to a lot of trouble to help.
