HELP for FAT FINGERS??
An ipad with Siri which is voice commanded might be worth investing in. I'm a fan of Apple products so am biased and no idea what a Hudl is. Sorry.
Have to second medway-lady’s comments. The Mac and IOS systems provide great functionality for people with all sorts of disabilities. Having said that, I would be surprised if the equivalent Android operating systems didn’t offer something comparable? Hope you find something that works, cheers Deb
I use a computer pen on my iPhone, my hubby uses one on his kindle. The keypad on iPad is big enough for chunky fingers.
You can get a stylus to help you type which will help you with your keyboard thus saving you money as you won't need to buy a new laptop etc. They are very cheap as well, you can get them with pens inside so you should be able to get one easy enough.xxxxx
Yes a stylus is the answer for me using it now! Saves changing from Hudl or laptop.
I found the stylus I bought took more effort and hurt to press on the iPad keys than my fingers! It was £25 and was a "Bamboo" brand so not really a cheap product I bought! Thankfully the fingers are better than they were, but I use my MacBook Pro laptop for any major typing. It's keypad is light and so easy to touch. Hope you find something suitable.
thanks for that; reasonably ok on laptop but probs with 'keyboards' on kindles, etc. so was wondering abt an add-on k'board for these, as they have in USA, but not UK afaik. BTW are yr fingrs better from Ritux? Letter here for me to start infusions 23rd, but am cautious, to put it mildly...xox
Hi, yes everything including fingers is much, much better as a result of Rituximab so hope you decide to go ahead and have the infusions. I think add on keyboards may kind of cancel out the reason to have an iPad! I don't use my iPad much at all for typing any length as it's the heavier first generation and the keyboard is hard, but the MacBook Pro 15 inch I have is a dream of a laptop. Pricey products but so many great features. The lighter notebooks Apple do all have the same easy touch and no pressure required to make the keys move. There are many other light laptops with such keys .. have a trip to PC World and try a few. Good luck.
