Again no problem.i saw her this morning and straight away she made me feel uneasy.she asked about all my meds .asked if i was tired.i said i am low thyroid .Have R/D .sleep Apnia .i.m always tired. She said she could start me on tablets for b12 .or a course of b12 injections.
She asked me to have a word with my Rhuemy doc who i see 2nd week in july.ti ask her if any of my meds could do this.
But then examined my stomach .abd listened to it .asked about any changes in my bowels .any weight loss or blood.
She said after next bloods she may look at my bowels more . Totally freaked out
And i.m not usually a worrier.
I just wanted to talk to you lovely people.sorry its prob just aneamia .i.m just feeling fragile .love to you all kathy xx

Hello Keeta, Anaemia is quite common with rheumatoid arthritis due to the chronic and widespread inflammation affecting our bone marrow. Successful control of the inflammation and the anemia should resolve rapidly. EG mine improved in 2-3 weeks
I hope yours does the same. o supplements were necessary for me at all.
0.34, = 34% is not too bad but will make you tired. Anaemia can Improve very quickly when conditions are right. I think what happens is that your bone marrow is already trying to work overtime in response to the anaemia but cannot do so when the cause is still present and preventing b it from working properly. Then, if the inflammation is halted or reduced, the "super-charged" [for want of a better expression] -bone marrow produces red blood cells in double-quick time as everything is already geared up to do so. Stopping the inflammation takes the brakes off and hey-presto, the anaemia soon improves.
PS I do have a degree covering this so it is not really guess-work!
I take spatone from my chemist it is a iron supplement as my bloods show a touch of aneamia every now and again. It is a liquid supplement and i put it in fruit juice so i don't taste it.xxxx
Hi I suffered with anaemia for years .when I was kept in hospital cause ear was to high 115 my rheaumtoglist ordered more tests it came back I had pernicious anaemia on b12 injections for live now .yet gp never done any thing 're anaemia. I saw a different gp she sent me for iron infusion and camera both ways to look for blood loss all was fine .all this was done under 2week rule .some times a fresh pair of eyes helps look at u different hope u get sorted x amy
Thanks amy.as i said before .it will prob be just a b12 problem .but she just freaked me out a little .the next blood test will be just fine .and i.ll be feeling a little bit of a baby for letting it worry me cos its really not like me . Hope you are well now.
Hi my gp told me anyone over abt 50 shd take a good B12 supplement to avoid brain fog. it has helped me. Daughter [46] takes B complex to help balance her hyper thyroid , but ask yr gp.
I take b12 every day by tablet as early in my diagnosis I was anaemic and my pharmacist advised me to take it while on methotrexate. It helped and the anaemia settled and my energy levels were better. What I found is that my specialist did not say I should take b12. They ought to be the full bottle on what to take and prevention is surely better than waiting for anaemia.
as for bowels... i now take Kefir [ Tesco do a good one in the Polish section .. basically a drink like greek yogurt] and blueberries n raspberries with a minimum of oats ... seems to do the trick and also boosts the microbiome. wirth trying , can't do any harm xox
