Stange things are happening
They look for all the world like scratches but your ankle is very swollen. Are you still having high inflammatory values?
I have lots of pain at minute
How long before you see your Rheumy, or have a nurse appointment?
I really don't know xx
Were you not given one at your last appointment? It can work differently according to hospital. When I come out of my Rheumy meets she says she'll see me in, for example, 6 months then I go to Reception & tell them that & they give me an appointment for 6 months time. Or maybe your Rheumy dept send them through the post. How long has it been since you were last seen by either your Rheumy or Nurse Specialist?
I'm in a lot of pain at the minutexx
What on earth happened darling.xxxx
Probably were in pain in the night and in your sleep rubbed your ankles scratching them.
They look swollen though you need to call your Rhuematoid Outpatient dept and find out if there is an app on their screen yet for you.
In meantime see your Dr and if they are concerned they will send you straight to A&E with that swelling. I think the scratches were just your own nails or something rubbed ( other toe nails) my friend suffered with serve eczema and would wake up with marks like that and never remember making them as she was half asleep. When your ankles are swollen I find they do irritate the skin as skin is stretching.
Feel for you they look so uncomfortable 😣
💕
I had socks on x
Oh dear!
When tissue swells it can be itchy. Could you have scratched at them while you slept? My biggest concern is the leg edema. If your doctor and you have addressed it, and it has worsened please call to see MD asap. I know many people deal with chronic edema, It is very uncomfortable. Compression hose may help, but see what your MD recommends.
Ok what is edema
puffy swelling in your legs/ankles is due to retained fluid in your tissue (skin) It can be a sign of many things, poor circulation, side effect of disease or organ (like kidney failure) Elastic support hose may help a bit, but really need to see your doctor, esp if it has not been addressed before.
Do you have a cat or live in an area where a raccoon could be in your house or some other creature? Do your meds cause other parts of your body to itch resulting in scratching and do you have long fingernails?
My cats go out at night I don't have raccoon in my area and never been itchy on meds xx
I have occasional oedema in my ankles when my heart medication needs adjusting. Best to go check it out.
