Can anybody share experience with Xeljanz? My doctor wants me to try it seeing Enbrel isn't working as well as he would like?

My sister has been on this treatment for six years now as part of a trial and has done really well - she hardly ever needs to take any pain relief and has come off the steroids she previously needed. It has had some effects of raising her cholesterol levels (despite her excellent diet).

You will see that it has only recently been introduced into this country (my sister lives in France), but there is some feedback here if you put it (tofacitinib) into the search box.

I have been on Xeljanz xr 11mg for 3 weeks now & so far so good. I’m also just starting to come off of prednisone down to 4mg. I delayed taking it for months due to fear of the unknown but one night decided needed to start. I don’t know if this helps you any but I hope so.

Glad it's working for you . I am struggling had to increase prednisone from 5mg to 10 mg been on Xeljanz for two weeks and not much improvement- hoping it kicks in soon 🤞🤞

Hi Sassy - I am about to start in on the biologic tomorrow. Starting with 1 tablets to begin with as I have a low white blood cell count. Just wanted your take on how this bio is working for you? Thanks Hessie

[Damaged]

I have been on it for six weeks. I love it. It worked great for me and no needles, yippee. I also went through four DMARD’s and four Biologics before Xeljanz. But remember, what works for one may not work for others. Best of luck. I hope it works for you as well.
