Thank you all for your support and answering my questions, sorry there is more..

Does anyone have swollen nodes under neck and side of neck ? Is this part of PSA?

Is it common to have prominent dark circles under your eyes?

Also how long can flares last?

Take care

Maybe get the lymph nodes looked at? Can't say I've had them as part of PsA. Usually if there's infection. Did you mention to doc? I don't have dark circles under my eyes either. But others may.

My flares were almost continuous. The meds I was on at the time did nothing for me. Things are better on methotrexate.

Swollen lymph nodes are probably due to you having active inflammation. But get down to your GP to get it checked just in case you've picked up a virus to add to your woes.

I don't think you've got your RA under control yet? So not really a flare, more out of control RA?

As for dark circles - no idea!

Dark circles 🔘🔘 under eyes 👁 👁 (Peri orbital dark circles: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Per... ).

Kindly consider Anemia ( mayoclinic.org/diseases-con... ), particularly ‘Anemia of Chronic Disease’, as a possibility, GFmum. 🤔

Amped up nutrition/ nutrients ( healthunlocked.com/cure-art.... ), resolving any gut absorption/ microbiome issues ( healthunlocked.com/cure-art... , healthunlocked.com/nras/pos... ), reducing inflammatory process, etc., all work towards ameliorating anemia. 👍👍 (And, of course, working these multi-pronged issues hand in hand 🤝 with your medics 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️. )

Continued good wishes, GFmum. 🙏 🍀 🌺 🌞

Hi,

As Kai says, when my dark circles appear it usually means anaemia for me. Lymph nodes seem to come and go but as HH says it's really I important to get them checked.

I too am in constant 'flare' which really just means the disease isn't under control, or in 'remission' as my rheumy calls it.However, I can now tell the difference between the damage pain ie the pain that won't be treated by the drugs and the active disease pain which is more like a throbbing/ growing pain. If you can - and you will- start to recognise the difference, then you can start to manage your disease. And things get better! Or at least you are able to adapt.

Having said that, if you haven't had the disease for a long time, there shouldn't be too much damage and once you are in remission all will be well. Hope so xx

Thank you all so much for your replies.. It's given me a lot to think about.

The kenalog injection took my lymph nodes down, it's wearing off now so they are back up slightly..
