Thank you to all that responded to my swollen foot/ankle situation. It deflated as quickly as it expanded and I am now walking on it fine. Just retrieved my car from work. I do think it was an inflammatory response to knocking my knee. I have a Rheum/Derm app on Wed so I will bring it up then.

Here's another question about my Little Puk (lacking a proper diagnosis I have named whatever it is/they are that I have). Have any if you had scalp tenderness? I have had it for over a week. Left side about an area the size of my palm but shifts a little. Sometimes near my ear, sometimes not. It's annoying because it's distracting but not really painful except when I put that side of my head on a pillow and I get a feeling a bit like when you've had your hair tied up tightly in a ponytail. It could be something to do with the follicles as I am shedding more due to Mtx I suppose but today I seem to have a strange sensation down the left side of my face. A very faint numbness/tingling. I am assuming there is some sort of swelling pressing on a nerve. I will of course bring it up on Wed but that seems ages off (time moves so slowly when you need something resolved, doesn't it ๐Ÿ˜‰) so wondered if anyone had experienced similar.

Thanks in advance. C7

I certainly had scalp tenderness when I had Polymyalgia Rheumatica as well. Although sometimes I could hardly reach my scalp, it was just when I lay down.

I would be a bit worried myself about pain or numbness in the face. My sister had GCA (Giant Cell Arteritis) before her diagnosis of Rheumatoid Disease and had that. If it continues, or if you have any symptoms with your eyes, I would seek urgent advice, not wait until Wednesday.

Thanks! Yes...good advice. Thankfully I haven't been getting particularly bad headaches and my vision is ok (such as it is). I do have a clicky jaw now (worse on the right) but then I kinda click all over. My partner says it sounds like I'm playing the castanets when I move around. He's such a pleasure! ๐Ÿ˜‰ C7

I have had patches of tenderness/numbness / tingling in various parts of my body including scalp . I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was blaming all these things on RA as my Gp said it was . Thanks to help on hear I was able to put together a lot of my symptoms and spoke to my rheumatologist who confirmed fibromyalgia. Iโ€™m not saying it is this but do not blame RA for everything . Worth mentioning x

Yes. Definitely. Fibromyalgia seems so ....well just so rude! Sending unnecessary pain signals for a kick off. I really sympathise with you (not empathise because I can't really imagine it) ....and really hope that I don't end up with it. At the moment I think my Rheumatologist and Dermatologist have everything on the table so it's a waiting game. Better get my poker face on!Thanks for your reply. C7

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜

Yes I get this (I'm starting to get concerned because I tend to have alot of symptoms people ask about ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜…).

Its exactly like when you've taken your hair down from a pont tail.

My arthritis has never been under control in the last year so I'm like in a constant flare. Mine is also by my ear /temperal bone. I myself contribute it to active Inflammation, it can cause pain /tingling on my cheek bone . I think its from my TMJ joint.

I've asked rhematology about it and they really don't seem very concerned, it can come and go depending upon how my arthritis is . I'm going to ask my consultant about it when I get to see them.

Giant cell arteritis tends to occur in the over 50s (which im not) and apparently you get a stonking headache with it and eye pain, but it is a possibility I guess of we have RA.

Honestly we could worry ourselves to bits couldn't we thinking about things, im sure health anxiety is more of a problem for me than the arthritis now ๐Ÿ™„ Defo mention it in your next appointment see what they say x

Glad your foot has gone down BTW x

Thank you. I just need to hear that someonelses has had the same experience and know that I'm not imagining it. I suppose it's a bit about validation too. I hate that I need it these days but it often feels like I'm being gaslighted by my own body.

No stonking headache or eye problems btw. ๐Ÿ‘
