Saw GP yesterday for another reason and asked about the pneumonia shot. They said I should have it and book in with nurse. Earliest appointment is 1st December. Have Rheumy appointment that day so will ask if I can have it now as started biologic. I know it's not a live vacine.
I do hope I can have it as I'm picking up every bug going and especially I work in a hospital so exposed to infection too and I might pass something on too.
I think pharmacists can do it. Try Boots or one of the big ones. I get my flu jab done there.
Thank you for your reply. To have the pneumonia at a pharmacy will be quite expensive approx £70 which I can't afford. So will wait for my appointment next week.
Asda is £5, Tesco £8, Boots £12.99 for the flu jab if you feel you can't wait. It's a bit much that the hospital where you work doesn't offer vaccinations to workers who are OK with it.

That's OK I don't think I would be able to have it this week as fighting off a virus. Feeling better today. Have taken time off work.
Hopefully back tomorrow as voice almost normal today. OH enjoying the fact I can't speak.
