I'm fairly new to this site and very much appreciate all help and advice that is so generously given
I went to a party last night and drank a lot more than I should. I've been doing so well, one year on from a rituximab infusion, but today I can barely move - toes, ankles, knees, hips, fingers, wrists, elbows and shoulders are all hurting so much. I realise I did something that I shouldn't but is this a normal RA reaction? believes me I'm not going to try it again to find out!

I have zero tolerance for alcohol anymore, and two glasses is now the max. And I find it affects me much more than it used to, so heaven knows what I'd be like after a proper party. Probably much like you! Drink lots of water and hopefully you'll be fine tomorrow.
Oh dear, a lesson learnt the hard way. Alcohol really doesn't like me, I'm so ill after so little it's pathetic so I just don't bother. I have a bottle of Tia Maria in the cupboard, my little tipple on Christmas Day, but I can't tell you how old it must be as I only have a thimbleful!
I hope you feel better tomorrow. Dehydration is what I understand a hangover is so try drink lots of water.
Thank you both, I certainly don't feel hungover - I hate that feeling, and now my throat is hurting, so maybe just a cold that's made me feel bad - alcohol free for me from now on though!
Haha, my pleasure Mike, I've got a full on head cold today, so I'm hoping that was the cause of my blip! I've also been researching alcohol free craft beer - it does exist! 😊🍻
Nanny state is a good craft 0.5% beer, quite hoppy, a good replacement. I have found it in tescos in Scotland. Don't know if it's sold in Tescos south of the border though.🍺
Hi terry , i am on rituximab as well and i also take lyrica , between those two i have been too scared to touch alcohol . I am sorry that you appear to be having a bad reaction , you should rest up for the next couple of days and if things don’t improve go to your gp incase its an infection. Best wishes.
I'm also tee total too following a stay in France. Had half a glass of wine each evening but by the end of my time there I was feeling very grotty with increase nausea and joint pain. Never again.
.......Ache and was throwing up last night (defy not the alcohol!) rheumatologist is calling me in the morning. Even tramadol isn't helping, Ha I thought I was in pain on Sunday.... what a wuss!
