I think you might have meant to post this on the Spanish site? Anyway, some people do find drugs affect them mentally others don't. I take Arcoxia and it doesn't have that effect on me, but everyone's different.

Hola Benediktron.

HI, thanks for your kind answer. i posted in Spanish simply because my cellphone does not catch English dictation yet and the site automatically turned to Spanish. I will try to post it in both languages.

THe reason is not i am taking arcoxia; rather, i have seen those strange effects in several persons, and started a simple research, so i found this site and some answers. Yes, arcoxia causes certain kind of depression in some persons. An Aunt of mine had arcoxia for months and her speech was always about death.

My personal experience:

Weeks ago i feel on my elbow and being late night i did not want to go first aid, so i took one pill from my mother's box and. The effcts were:

-pain reduction

-numbness, just like having the brain anesthesiated

-left ear clogged, very uncomfortable

-A slight feeling of something was lost, like when you miss the train.

-And more noticeably: suddenly i started to "see shapes" in the common objects, but related with bones and death. I mean... looked to a bunch of dirty clothes and it looked like a skull smiling. Then i watch to a chair with small back grid and it resembled theet of a skull. Since i am not prone to that kind of thoughts, i blamed arcoxia. Made a little research and foynd depression in other persons. Found also some academic articles (papers) on the issue.

This can be helpful to keep persons off depression. I noticed that my mother was very irritable when taking arcoxia. The doctor ordered 120 mg, which i though excessive. I claimed to the hospital and they reduced the dosage. I am sure it's a medical negligence. Maybe some of you need also antidepressants.

I have no biological knowledge, but my personal theory is: Since arcoxia dulls the bone pain, but also numbs the mind, it causes a "unbalance" feeling between perceived world and internal stimulus. So the mind starts to drift on the physical sensations, and irt the persons is old, weak and have lots of free time, starts to daydreaming.
