Yes, don't bother, it's quackery.

Here some info. No scientific evidence of efficacy. However have heard that has helped many.

No experience but I am extremely sceptical about homoeopathy. There is no reason why it should work and would not touch it with a pole used for pushing narrow canal vessels. IYSWIM?

Placebo. No clinical evidence what so ever.

I tried it but it didn't help me. I am afraid I began to feel the homeopath was a complete quack, although I think he really did believe in what he was doing. The last straw was when he told me my kidney function was low and I recalled that I had had numerous full blood counts recently on the NHS because of the arthritis and my kidney function was just fine.

Lots of info here arthritisresearchuk.org/sys.... Personally, I'd save your money, meds are proved scientifically, why risk your health?

If you believe water has a memory .... go for it.

But it has recently been removed from treatments available on the NHS so it will cost you

Sometimes it might work...mind over matter & all that.

I'd rathevrelybon my trusty Depomrdrone injection...I know that works for me.

Hi Ali

I really think you need to consult a trained homeopath because homeopathy treats the person rather than the symptoms - particularly so for any chronic (ie long standing conditions).

Like doctors there are good ones and bad ones.

Personally I have had success with my Naturopath. I went in very sceptical. My private insurance who is very selective at what they cover recognize naturopaths ( but not Homeopaths) as professionals, same as they recognize physiotherapists, psychologists, podiatrists, chiropractors - none of who are actual medical doctors with a PHD, but who have a professional set standard of education and offer people services for vaious issues. Naturopaths have a higher level of education than a Homeopath.

I use my Naturopath as part of my whole team of professionals that help me manage my health. I wasn’t sure how my actual medical doctors would respond to this. Surprisingly enough my PCP and Specialists were open to this when I told them.

I have learned a lot from my Naturopath - many people take way too many unneeded vitamins and supplements, you really only need vitamin supplements if you actually have a deficiency or inefficiency. You should be getting what you need from a healthy diet. Some people have severe absorption issues, like myself, with IBD Inflamatory Bowel Disease Crohns (and RA) which means I am one of the people who need supplements, as my diseased intestines can not absorb certain vitamins.

My Naturopath has also introduced me to Curcumin which is Tumeric It helps me where nothing my specialists offered helped.

I wouldn’t toss out your medical doctors but I have found value in adding a Naturopath to my team.

I actually went to a wonderful homeopath in our nearest city. I attended her for ariund 6 months and whatever she gave me was actually starting to really work. Unfortunately my husband became ill and was off work long term with little or no pay, so due to lack of money I had to stop seeing her. She did offer to see me at the Homeopathis Hospital but I would need a referral from my GP. Due to shortsightedness on his behalf he refused to refer me. My RA got worse with some pretty bad flares. To this day I have wanted to go back but lack the bank balance. I do believe it works. Every treatment is tailored to your own personal history. If our medical care took just a little from the way homeopaths work and treat the patient holistically we would maybe 'do' better. A lot to think about. Good luck.

Ive used one many years ago, only stopped because they moved away. Found them really good. Looked at the full picture. Need patients for things to improve as not just popping chemicals. Would try one again if they had experience with treating RA. My thought is..... if it was possible to have a homeopath as well as medics that would be ideal. Not just one or the other.

Just my opinion

I have seen and heard over and over the benefits of a homeopathic approach and I do believe It can work. My concern is for how long? Like many have said once they stop treatment they flare again. Then what do you do? Im curious as to how many have gone into remission? I wish there was more documentation and proof of its effectiveness. Although I am a clean organic eater, unless I have more proof or no other choice because of side effects, I'd stick w conventional medicine.
