Shoe Help!

I’m four months post op from right ankle full fusion and am starting to walk without my walking cast. I have some shoes like what I use to wear before surgery but they really don’t help. Is they’re any type or brand I should be looking for that are comfy and help me walk better to improve my gap? Please help I really need to push myself to start walking with shoes on now!

Thank you!

I would recommend hotter shoes. Practical and not old fashioned x

Another mention of Hotter shoes from me. If you're not near a store the online service is good and you can get fitting advice. Also Clarks unstructured lines work well for m

I swear by Clark's and but wide fit so I can fit my splint inside. I wouldn't be without them now. M x

If it's difficult getting out...try tv buying Clark's from QVC and pay in 3 easypay! M x

I bought three (!) pairs of lace up pretty boots from Hotter in different colours after my foot fusion (three for the price of two offer). The surgeon suggested boots were best and the only comfortable ones I had were my lightweight walking boots (which I still wear a lot). But these are fun as well as practical and not too hot and nice flexible light leather.

I've just bought very supportive full length boots from Hotter and the zips are amazing - big enough to grip with weak sore fingers and they glide up and down easily. Wide and deep enough to take my orthotics too. I agree, Hotter a good place to start. Hope walking gets easier for you.
