Does anyone have dizziness with taking MTX injections . 10 mg . I'm have taken 3 times. I didn't take my last dose so it's been a week , seeing if This is the cause . Last week dizziness started and feeling nauseous by afternoon time everyday . I work as a Hairstylist so I'm on my feet all day . After I sit a bit I feel better. Wondering if anyone else gets this way and thinking is it vertigo ? I have not called doctors yet , waiting to see if goes away .

😥

I started on tablets and had dizziness and nausea particularly as the dose was increased although on an odd occasion i was symptom free. On reaching 25mg the symptoms worsened and I was in bed sometimes for more than a day. Switched to injections last year. Not too bad to begin with but it's started again. Some weeks are worse than others but I'm retired so don't have to work which is a godsend. Am waiting for a consultant appointment so will discuss then. Can you contact your rheumatology helpline for advice? If it impacts on work and daily life you need to let them know. Hope you get it resolved. Linda

Hi there, I'm on methotrexate injections but I find my dizziness happens from the fatigue - taken a lot of trial and error to realise that's what's been causing it. Sorry to hear you're struggling with it but well done being able to work :-) x

Hi- sorry to hear you are feeling dizzy- you are doing really well to work! I'm on my 8th week of methotrexate injections and I'm taking sulphasalazine too. I feel really unwell the day of the injection- like having flu and yes quite a lot of dizzyness! The rest of the week I just feel exhausted (not fun with 2 young kids on school hols!) but on the upside many of my joints are better!!! Best of luck- hope the meds work for u xx

Have you tried injecting in the evening, I do and have found that I sleep through the worst of the side effects. I also found that the side effects reduced over time and reduced by taking folic acid every day apart from methotrexate day.

I have stopped my injections for a week now. Terrible headaches everyday. So hard to work. I might have to try something else . Getting discouraged

What a shame, hope you find something that suits you soon. Are you seeing your Doc/Rheumatologist to discuss alternatives? I find the only thing that helps me is resting as far as poss and keeping my energy levels up with good food. I got fatigue and dizziness before taking the meds so nothing much has changed for me in that respect, except I can manage it a bit better and catch a dizzy spell before takes hold. It's pants this condition eh? Good luck! xxx

Thanks for the message. Going to see my primary doctor today cause of the headaches and dizziness. I'm been off med for 2 weeks and there thinking high blood pressure , migraines . Just can't function trying to work . I've never been this way until I started taking prescription medication for this disease . Thank you for your support

Hi there, ever since you've mentioned blood pressure I've been wondering if that's what's affecting me. I've been calling it 'fatigue' but BP fluctuations make sense! One thing I've thought strange is that through all my testing and monitoring, no-one had checked my blood pressure. Got a monitor on order to keep an eye on it. Hope you feel better soon!
