I think anything is worth a try.😊
A few points you might like to reflect on the next time you feel like writing a similar post.
- many things sold as natural remedies can be extremely toxic and even fatal, like comfrey, kava, bitter orange and aconite. There are lots more.
- these things you call toxic medicines are for many of us life savers. I certainly would be dead if modern medicine wasn't as advanced as it is. It is in no way perfect, but a big improvement on ways people were treated in the past.
- presumably you don't actually know what the nurse is handing out, so could well include vitamins or mineral supplements. Maybe they are even tablets to help people who have diabetes 2 because of poor lifestyle choices, but don't want to change.
Your post made me feel cross, as I get annoyed when people come out with often repeated statements that are really not a proper reflection of facts. It's always good to question things, but in a considered way.
I don't see what's so funny about people accepting medication in order to make them feel better,
I have had Erosive RA for 30 plus years and many other conditions, I have medications you find laughable, they keep me active and until I retired working full time. I found your post offensive.
Please also reflect that type 2 diabetes is not always due to life style choiced
Yes, you're right - sorry. I was just trying to make the point that sometimes it's the patients who choose the medicine not the doctors and couldn't instantly ink of another example.
I'm going to have to totally agree with HH points and sentiments .
I feel a little cross too- but maybe for different reasons?
I would only wish that instead of focusing on every negative ( and I appreciate it's hard and you just want to get home ), try focusing on the positives ?!
You're in a much better position than many in this world - everything done is for your benefit and to the best of the medical teams abilities - it's all to improve things for you?
Stop wasting your energies Rocky- get on with the business of getting better and getting home and then you can pursue other treatments etc you feel would benefit you, at your own pace .
Genuinely don't mean to be harsh but enough enough.

I work on a hospital ward yes 99% is necceassary, I never took any medication until 16 months ago when I was diagnosed, I would swap my life back to not taking none, it's not nice I'm miserable due to sore ears and teeth with the benepali, I'm not happy one bit with my situation. So don't judge what you don't know.
