Been feeling rubbish for a few days. Yesterday I was walking home from shop and felt a pop in Achilles. Very painful when I did it.
Hospital say it's a partial tear and I need some physio. Using crutches fir a while to keep strain off. I think it's all part if the inflammatory process. Last year I had bilateral achilles tendonitis for a year. To be fair, they were hugely red hot and swollen then. This time some pain, but not so swollen. Just a weird pop!
Didn't get home from ER until early hours this morning. Woke up with the migraine from hell, plus vomiting. Worse than achilles pain! Still suffering.
Ho hum.

I try not to whine. Basically be because folks aren't interested. Most don't get it anyway. I mask with humour. But when no ones looking I swear at trees!
Really sorry to read this! I partially tore my achillies two years ago. Once I got some physio it improved, took a while to heal, but it did get a bit better every week. Hope you're up and walks my again soon.
so sorry I had ruptured achelli tendon in plaster ten 9 wks still have leg trouble after 3 yrs .if there was a tablet for pain to stop I'd be first in line x wish you sll well xxx
Ouch! I sort of know how that feels though mine wasn't a partial tear I did the job properly, not that I recommend it! Mine was about 5 years pre RD so I can't blame that so I hope it doesn't hamper your recovery. Do try not to use the afflicted leg. If it's tender do rest as much as you can with it well supported.
I hope the migraine's eased off by now, as if you need that as well.
Oh bless you! Rotten luck - again. I sincerely hope that it mends quickly for you. You must feel that if it wasn't for bad luck you'd have no luck at all.
btw please go on swearing at the trees, especially sycamores. Nasty, prolific breeders they are. I spend hours finding and weeding out their dratted seedlings in my borders.
