Five day break in Devon................

Good morning everyone well we have just had five days in devon.We had a lovely time,but my back has given me a lot of problems. My knee was so swollen to twice the size it was. It has always been swollen since i had the second replacement,but this was different. The pain down my leg was so blooming painful and hurt to walk on it. Yesterday when we were getting ready to come home it was that bad i sat and cried before we left and after we had stopped on the way home. I am resting now and as we are going away Monday for another five days to Skegness. This holiday should have happened in August,but we couldn't have those dates so this is our second choice,but i could have done without going away so quickly.

I slept very well last night and feel quite bright this morning,but my back is stil playing up and i still haven't heard back from the neuro-surgeon of when i am going to get an appt.xxx

Glad you enjoyed your break in Devon it's been a lovely week weather wise - you seem to be lucky with the weather.I hope your aches and pains didn't put too much of a dampener on things.

And now you're off again.hope you enjoy that too.

It is very close to your last break but you can't always pick the dates you want just have to go with what's available.

We did it about 3 years ago,went to Skiathos for a week,back for 4 days and then Kefalonia for 2 weeks.Never been so worn out in all my life,but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Try and rest up over the weekend if you can to give yourself a fighting chance and try not to overdo it when you get there.

I have been out with huby to do a bit of shopping and i cut our lawns now i am not doing anything until i go away on Monday.xxxxxx

Pleased you enjoyed Devon but sorry to hear your back's been such trouble Sylvi. I hope your break in Skegness is a restful one but it's the going & coming back isn't it? I know I'd rather be bound there on Monday than the funeral i'm going to! x

If you haven't already I would highly recommend seeing a local chiropractor, since the spine is their speciality.

Poor you I sympathise.

I am just back on me feet independently after I had a fall while on holiday in Spain and it has made my back condition more painful so I do understand what you are going through.

I hope your next break away is less painful for you and you feel better soon.
