Having a hard time as had to stop RA treatment due to chest infection then lung issues and shingles. Now flaring up again. Low.
Going to hospital clinic for possible steroid drip.
Looking for ideas of things people do to be nice to themselves especially on treatment days or when things very difficult. Someone wrote about it as comfort rituals in a reply a while back and had great ideas but I can't find it now.
Thanks for your help.

Sleep is my ultimate comfort! Clean sheets, and nice things to nibble, and whatever painkillers work best. Preferably with someone looking after your kids so you can have peace and quiet.
I had a steroid drip a couple of weeks ago. Apart from not sleeping for the first night it worked wonders. Not sure why it is better than an injection in the bum, but my rheumy seemed to thing it was.
Second the blanket (like wrapping yourself in a virtual hug or taking care of the frightened person within you - whatever works psychologically for you!), soothing music, dwelling on thoughts of those I love (produces oxytocin which in turn makes us feel loved) and finally colouring- total zone out!
