I don't think any of us like being stuck in a hospital away from home! Have courage and work hard at your rehab so that you are fit enough to leave. This is your chance to finally get out of your wheelchair and live more normally.
Oh bless you Rocky! Of course you hate it there! We all would especially so far from home. This horrible disease seems designed to strip us of everything, including our dignity. Hang on in there, do the exercises and you should be able to get home quicker and be loads more mobile. This operation could make life so much better for you. Chin up, sweetheart, and keep your eyes on the prize. Huge hugs

Think about it Rocky....if you give up & go home that will be as well as you get won't it.? Because no matter how much you think you will continue physio, you probably won't bother!
If still need to be wheeled in a commode, however would you manage at home? I don't expect you'd want your sister having to help there?
Can you try to socialise with some other patients in re-hab? I am sure there are some who are just as unhappy to be there as you are & would like a chat & a laugh! In re-hab units there are usually a lot of amusing incidents to laugh at!
When I broke my neck after a a car accident, I was wheeled into the shower & the nurses wore white plastic coats, white Wellington boots & showered me with what looked like a garden hose...everyone laughed when that happened...including me !
So perk up Rocky...you will get that knee moving, but in the end, only you can do the exercises & make it happen!
Just think......If you were in UK you could possibly still be on the waiting list!
Hi Rocky - I am so sorry that you are still in rehab. It does suck, but it should make you more self sufficient when you do get there.
Hi Rocky
Really sorry you're still feeling so miserable. I have to echo advise from aged crone but would add that as hard as it is- and I Do know how hard it is - your state of mind may well be ha img a negative impact on the progress you'll make. I would urge you to try to use the supports in place just now and make the best of your time there. As miserable as you feel, make the commitment to putting all your energy into doing your physio, allowing staff to assist you when needed and just concentrate on doing what's needed and getting home as soon as is safely possible.
Chin up and good luck.
Marie
