Ra sufferer
I have been taking in for a month and have noticed a huge improvement in my mood. I'm only pre ra really as I don't have any symptoms but I thought I d try Ldn to try and get inflammation down. I feel completely different. 10 yrs younger and full of vitality!
Hi munchybunch. What is pre ra ? I've never heard of that before.
sorry that should be pre rheum athoid arthiritis
How do you know your pre Rheumatoid arthritis? Just curious.
It's not officially called pre RA. Anti CCP can show up in the blood many years before the onset of RA. The tricky part is that not all people who test highly positive go on to develop full blown RA, however, many do so it is indeed customary that keep a close eye on you.
Researchers are now trying to find a way to stop RA from breaking out before it starts but of course you see the problem here. It's very hard to be given an anti CCP test without having symptoms.
Sometimes it's hard to get the test with symptoms! Where I live most GP's will give a RF test and CRP before they send you to a Rheumatologist. I am one who doesn't have a positive RF or raised inflammatory markers and was dismissed and not referred to a Rheumatologist for over a year. All of this is changing and I do hope that everyone gets on board with teaching older GP's the need to test for the more specific anti CCP that can appear years before RF and/or the onset of RA
I believe that they will get to a point of pre-treatment and there are clinical trials going on now to see if giving folks one off Biologics will stop RA from starting. I just want to know how they get to the point of giving someone an anti CCP test with no symptoms.
I m totally sure as not only I ve noticed but today my son noticed and asked if I d been taking anti depressants! So Im pretty convinced. Id had a super tough time recently with my husband being diagnosed with Parkinsons and then my best friend died of cancer. I was in a terrible way and couldnt stop crying etc. Now I just feel normal again! weird!
Oh I'm so sorry, you have a lot on your plate. I too am crying for you.
Sending you a big hug from accross the pond.
Take care & I wish you well
