NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 5th June 2017

Chesterfield NRAS Group

2017 group meetings are held at Bridge Street Methodist Church, (also known as Pilsley Methodist Church) Bridge Street, Pilsley, Chesterfield, S45 8HE on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

6th June - Two presentations: 1: Karen Stewart with her colleague Sarah from Citizens Advice Bureau will be presenting from 6.30-7.30 pm. 2: Sally Fenton, who is a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley and will talk about 'The benefits of sitting less, and moving more for RA' and will present from 7:30 pm until 8.30/9:00 pm.

Bolton NRAS Group

This NRAS group is coordinated by NRAS Members with the help and support of Senior Sister Beverley Travers. 2017 meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month (February - December) at Bolton One, Moor Road, Bolton, BL3 5BN from 2.00pm-4.00pm.

6th June - Guest speaker: Maria Monaghan, Claimant Champion from ATOS will be talking about the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) process and take any and all questions

North West NI NRAS Group

The North West NRAS group have arranged their meeting dates for 2017 and these will be held quarterly in Lecture Theatre 1 in the MDEC/Trust HQ building at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Glenshane Road, Londonderry BT47 6SB (free parking directly outside the Lecture Theatre) from 7pm - 8:30pm.

Tuesday 6th June - Dr Martin Kelly, Consultant Respiratory Physician, Altnagelvin Area Hospital will speak on 'Respiratory Health and Rheumatoid Arthritis'

Gloucester NRAS Group

This group meets in the Function Room at Oxstalls Tennis Centre, Plock Court, Gloucester, GL2 9DW (plenty of free parking on site) on the first Wednesday of every other month (April to December) from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

7th June - Talk: ‘Singing for health’ presented by: Frances Bennett, Former Head of Music, now living with inflammatory joint stiffness

Preston NRAS Group

The Preston and District NRAS group meet in the Reception area at the Minerva Health Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Deepdale, Preston, PR1 6SB. Evening meetings take place throughout the year on a Thursday from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

8th June - 'Cardiovascular and Osteoporosis Risk in RA' to be presented by Dr. Madan, Rheumatology Consultant

West Suffolk NRAS Group

The West Suffolk NRAS group meet every other month on a Thursday at Southgate Community Centre, Caie Walk, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 2PJ (for sat nav please use postcode: IP33 2QA - parking available on site) from 6:45pm-8:15pm.

8th June - Guest speakers from Bury St. Edmunds Osteopaths will be speaking on 'Osteopathy for Rheumatoid Arthritis'
