I so want to give up and crawl into my bed and stay there if it was possible. I have shoulder ache which is swollen and very sore which dr says is muscular. I told him how bad i was feeling yesterday and he turn round and said with arthritis and the way the weather i can't expect anything anything else.In plain English i can only expect this to get worse and no better than than i am today. I am so fed up and very down in the dumps.xxxxx

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low Sylvi. Sending you a metaphorical cheesecake to make you feel betters. Gentle hugs x
Hi Sylvi, sorry your not feeling too good. I kind of know how your feeling, but my pain is self inflicted, from doing far too much over the past few days. Our minds tell us we can do what we want to do, but our bodies like to shout at us 'ABSOLUTELY NO WAY. ARE YOU MAD' Frustrating.
Been taking it easy today though, plenty cups of tea ☺
Hope your fairly better soon.

Huge, warm, gentle hugs to you Sylvie xxx

I will thank you.xxxx
To sylvia and Billy915 - it's possible that what you're both describing is in fact polymyalgia and if that is the case I'm afraid a course of oral steroids is probably necessary to get on top of it. There's a description of it here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polym...
Good luck, hope the pain eases soon
So sorry you are feeling so low. This disease is awful, and it seems to me that sometimes we go down three steps and back up two - something is changed meds, weather etc but we never get back up to where we were - sounds like I've had a few glasses of wine (if only!) before writing that, but I know what I mean!
I sometimes think back to 2004 before my RA started properly and the things I could do then. Now getting out of bed is sometimes a real effort, but staying in bed isn't an option because it's too painful on my joints.
I'm off to see my gp on Monday for RA blood results as well as B12 and folate. He is a lovely man, we get on very well and don't always talk about medical matters. The only problem everybody likes him so it's difficult to get an appointment to see him. For this one I booked the Drs appointment and then the nurse one for the blood test. Unfortunately the nurse was unable to get blood on my first appointment so had to go again two days later, so I then had to try and change the gp appointment! Why is life so complicated?
I do hope tomorrow, a new day, is better for you. At least the forecast says the weather will be more summery.
Thank you all for your support and kindness.xxxxx
